The book
True story
Almost every pew and fan had her name on it as the one who donated it to the church.
She gave her money generously to the cause of the kingdom and it was easy to assume she was saved and kingdom minded.
One day it was announced that the church would be visiting her after the worship service because she was sick.
Many responded, so much so that they had to keep chairs outside her house because they were too many to fit inside.
The plan was to sing, pray, and maybe share a few words of encouragement.
As they started to sing, she joined them but then she signaled for them to stop singing.
She asked if they couldn’t hear the angels singing. She said the angels were singing her favourite song and she tried to join them.
She started to cry.
She said the angels told her she couldn’t sing that song because her name was not in the book.
She slumped immediately and returned to her Maker.
...it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. (Hebrews 9:27)
When that day comes, may we not hear the Lord say, I never knew you: depart from me. (Matthew 7:23)
Please, make sure now while you still can.
One day, only one thing will matter—
Is your name in the book of life?
